What’s Laura working on?
Current novel working title: “The Girls Next Door”
The Girls:
Name: Margot Leblanc. Occupation: ghost. Nickname: The White Rose of Entenwald (from her prematurely silver hair when she was alive). Notable facts: Former Duchess of Entenwald, she met her demise when her former husband, the Duke Gaston de Mallard, threw her out of a window at Castle Mallard in the 1840s (and he wasn’t even a vampire then, for shame!). She likes to put on a good show for ghost hunters and paranormal tourists, spooking as many as she can with the help of other resident specters. Loves listening to the gossip of the living since most people can’t see her unless she wants them to. Margot and her ghostly minions are excellent members of the castle’s security team.
Name: Victoria Patterson. Occupation: vampire queen, current Duchess of Entenwald, owner of Castle Mallard, TV Hostess, and Executive Director of the Entenwald Historical Society. She’s one busy lady! Nickname: The Black Pearl of Covent Garden (from her younger days as an actress in Victorian Londinium). Notable facts: As vampire queen, Victoria is the only kind of vampire capable of creating more vampires, something she’s been avoiding since her rude awakening in Londinium two centuries ago. Victoria was the mastermind behind the demise of her late husband, the vampire Duke Gaston de Mallard of Entenwald. She has a fondness for A+ blood.
Name: Daria Enten. Occupation: fairy, enforcer, entertainer, and Activities Director of Castle Mallard. Nickname: Miss Daria (Tinkerbell, to her friends). Notable facts: The extent of Daria’s fae attributes remains a mystery to everyone. She likes sharp weapons and drives an ancient Range Rover named Betsey. Daria can unhinge her jaws and bite anything. She’s also the vocalist of her own rock band, “Daria and the Nightcrawlers,” and a popular DJ in her native Entenwald. Her greatest ambition is to represent her country in the Eurovision Song Contest.
