Review: The Frozen People
Review: The Frozen People by Elly Griffith
I am a huge Elly Griffiths fan, from the Ruth Galloway mysteries, to the Brighton Mysteries featuring the Magic Men (there’s no magic involved, unless you count stage magic), to the Postscript Murders series. Not only is she a brilliant storyteller, but you also learn history you didn’t know you needed without being hit on the head with a history lesson.
Have I mentioned that I am not only a history and crime fiction nerd but also a science fiction and fantasy geek? So when I saw her new mystery series featuring time travel, I was sold.
The Frozen People does not disappoint. A secret investigation unit in London that travels through time to solve cold cases. Two crimes, one in present-day London and the other in the 1850’s Victorian London. And nothing is what it seems. From a time-travel gone wrong to related crimes separated by over 150 years and an unforgettable cast of characters, this book is a must-read. It seems it’s the start of a new series, and I, for one, can’t wait for the next book.
